"I couldn't know what's in your mind, but I saw the pictures, you're looking fine. And there was a time when I stood in line for love, for love, for love."
-The Lumineers
Love is strange. Love is unpredictable. Love is painful. Love is everywhere. Love is nowhere. Love is like. Love is love.
No one really knows what love is and no one can really put a time limit on how soon you feel it or how easy it is to let go. So how do we know it exists?
You know the relationship you had (or have) where you'd rather die than live without the other person?
You see readers I know what a broken heart feels like. It feels like a wet pillow and the same song on repeat. It's when your chest only raises so high before collapsing and you fear you might never catch your breath between sobs. This could be love.
You know the relationship where you couldn't go one day without fighting about something, yet they're the only person you want and if they were to walk away or leave you'd beg them to come back? I've had this too. This could be love.
You know the relationship where it was never really a relationship but you're attached anyways and he or she could kill your dog and you'd still want them? Ugh we've all had this one. It wasn't so bad though right? You witnessed a rare form of love, one that you formed on your own and were too selfish to let go even if they never loved you back. This could be love.
You know the relationship where it's been so long since you've seen or heard from them but they are ripped from this world and you're the first person everyone calls? I had this. It feels like every thought leads back to him or her and not one thought of why your relationship ended enters your mind. You just remember two a.m. spicy chicken sandwiches, dancing in the kitchen to no music, and the way he or she laughed. This could be love.
I think we all know love. I think we are scared of it. I think we have it. I think we have lost it. I think we need it.
So whether you're in a relationship, just ended one, or haven't had one in two years (cough) don't be afraid to love. It will hurt if it ends, somedays it will drain you, and eventually it will be you. You will be loved.
So heres to love. Go love.

The tail of 4:08 AM
Where should I begin?
I could start by telling you I'm the last remaining Ericson...well besides my cousin, Mal who spends her summers at music festivals selling funnel cakes, and her winters protesting the legalization of marijuana.
Actually, I just remembered she's engaged...yeah so it's just me. I have four older sisters, who are all gorgeous, in love, married, and have children (excluding taryn).
I love being the fifth child, i am the witness to all baby births, i am a four-time bridesmaid champion (not including smith or fox's wedding) and well I pretty much remain under the radar now that kids and husbands have filled my space.
Oh yeah, so I have a dog. His name is Rhinehart but he responds to Ryan, bad dog, Rhiney, Rhiney Hines, and sugarboogarbuttlittlechicken.
He smells and has a weird gnawing problem.
He has a single mom, with a part time job, & 18 hours of classes, it takes a toll on him.
Well that's all for my first 'tail'(yes, its a pun). Wish I was cooler.
In love, dog hair, & all things Harry potter,
Allison
Ain't no party like a cat party.
As I was driving through Remerton on Saturday I came across the most epic party of all time...a cat party. Boy was it crawling with felines. Nestled between Firehouse Tattoos and City Hall lies a vacant concrete slab strictly reserved for cat parties.
I know this because I've seen it.
After turning my vehicle around I slowly crept past the party of fur only to witness the arrival of a human. Yes, the rare cat lady spotting had occurred. RESPECT.
I dont want you guys getting the wrong idea...i hate cats...okay maybe not hate but I strongly dislike them.
a. im allergic
b. they creep me out
c. they lurk in corners and can jump on practically anything.
But there is one thing I do like about cats... and that is their ability to throw a hella tight party.
